Beginning at Salamanca, Historic Battery Point and Sandy Bay, this amazing tour will take you to the heights of Sandy Bay for panoramic views looking back over the river and city.
We cruise past some superb architecture and have fun coming back into the City down the main street.
Travel through Salamanca, Battery Point and Sandy Bay. We head into the heart of Sandy Bay checking out some beautiful unique homes before proceeding to Mt Nelson Signal Station and the look-out with fabulous views overlooking Hobart and the Derwent River. You will have time here to take photos and enjoy the scenery. This is a super tour for viewing Greater Hobart and some wonderful waterways.
Experience winding up to the top of Mount Wellington/Kunanyi to a total of over 4000 ft ( 1271 mtrs ) to the summit through wonderful Alpine forest. We spend 10 to 15 minutes taking in the views with incredible photo opportunities. We then descend through South Hobart and the City returning to the dock area and wharfs where the Sydney to Hobart yachts arrive.
Travelling through historic Salamanca and Battery point then winding our way down the old Channel Highway beside the Derwent River to the Shot Tower for a photo. (The Shot Tower is one of Tasmania’s most distinctive heritage landmarks and was the tallest building in Australia for a number of years.) The 2 hour version also includes stopping at the Shot Tower and time to climb to the top of the tower.
We then proceed to Kingston Beach for a few photos. Heading back on the Southern Outlet Highway at 100kph into Hobart while experiencing great views is amazing as we wind back down into Hobart.

Different Wine tours are also available. The 3, 4 and 6 hour wine tours all begin at 10.00 am or 11am. This is your choice. We proceed to the historic village of Richmond, where you can spend time looking at this beautiful original village which dates back some 200 years. From here we travel to Pooley Wines where you have your first wine tasting. John and his family are brilliant hosts and really know their wines. Other venues also available. We then continue onto our second wine tasting, Puddleduck Vineyard, a favourite boutique vineyard. As an option here if you wish you can enjoy a superb cheese platter. Lots more fun throughout the day. As we travel back on the Highway to Hobart you can be dropped off at your desired destination Hotel etc.
